The Climate Works Pre-apprenticeship Program provides training intended to prepare participants to succeed in apprenticeship programs in construction and the building trades. The program goal is to support the development of a qualified and diverse pipeline of workers for clean energy-related industries.

FAQs

Who can participate?

Pre-apprenticeship centers enroll equity-eligible individuals, including individuals from equity investment eligible communities and individuals who face barriers to employment, including formerly incarcerated individuals and current or former members of the foster care system.

What will the pre-apprenticeship training include?

Training focuses on construction basics utilizing either the NABTU Multi-craft Core Curriculum or the NCCER Core Curriculum. Core instruction may be supplemented with clean energy fundamentals, job readiness, and employability skills training.
