The program goal is to support the development of a qualified and diverse pipeline of workers for clean energy-related industries.

Pre-apprenticeship centers enroll equity-eligible individuals, including individuals from equity investment eligible communities and individuals who face barriers to employment, including formerly incarcerated individuals and current or former members of the foster care system.
Training focuses on construction basics utilizing either the NABTU Multi-craft Core Curriculum or the NCCER Core Curriculum. Core instruction may be supplemented with clean energy fundamentals, job readiness, and employability skills training.
